What does Heart Revolution mean to you?
It means having an opportunity to be set free, loved and fought for in a safe and real place, so that we can go out into the world again and offer the same to others.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis until I was 11 and then we moved to the Iron Range, where I graduated from high school. I have been back in Minneapolis for most of my adult years, where I am still growing up.
What makes you come alive?
Seeing others come alive. Being around real and life-affirming people. Doing anything outdoors, preferably playing some sport. Having great food and deep conversation with friends. Reading a book that is so good that I cannot put it down! Listening to exhilarating music. Traveling to new and preferably warm places. Laughing so hard that I cannot catch my breath.
What was your favorite toy as a young girl?
Hmmm….it is fairly evenly divided between any ball that could rouse a good neighborhood game and my barbies.
What was your favorite class in school?
French - it was the one subject I was great at without really trying.
What is the best way to get from point A to point B?
Whatever it takes.
Where do you do your best thinking?
Outdoors, doing something physical. When I am doing some mundane task, like laundry or brushing my teeth. When I am enjoying my Jacuzzi tub.
What is your all time favorite movie?
It depends on what I am in the mood for, but, my two favorite types of movies are epic battle/romances (Lord of the Rings, etc) and any movie where someone is overcoming a seemingly insurmountable obstacle and rising up in their glory (Rudy, Akeelah and the Bee, etc).
Where are you most content and relaxed?
In a remote location, preferably with incredible views of nature. But, if I can’t have that, I love a good neighborhood coffee shop with my favorite caffeinated beverage and a good book.
What would surprise people if they knew this about you?
Not much, I am an open book (for better or for worse).
What gadget can you not live without?
My MP3 player. I gots to have my music!
