We want anyone with a desire to attend to be able to. Unfortunately, we are a small mission and none of us has won the lottery, and we have to cover our costs.
Yet we firmly believe two things:
- If God intends for you to attend, He will make a way.
- Every advance comes with some type of sacrifice. Perhaps even a financial one…
We don’t know your situation, and if you are reading this, it is likely that you find yourself wanting to go but wondering how to pay. We certainly aren’t trying to sound flippant or harsh, but we truly believe that God is big enough to take care of this area for you. So… ask Him to.
Here is how our scholarship process works.
We basically ask that you come up with at least half of the cost (based on the rate when you register) and we will attempt to cover the other half through donations we receive to our scholarship fund. We do this (as opposed to the entire amount) for two reasons:
First, our scholarship funds are very limited each event and we want to be able to help as many people to be able to attend. So to help stretch out these funds as far as possible, we cover only half for each person that requests it.
Secondly, through our experience, we have found that people need to have some 'skin in the game' for this event to be as profound as it can be.
So if you desire to proceed, here are the steps:
1. Please fill out our Scholarship Information form found HERE. This gets us your information which will help in the rest of the process.
2. We will take your request and pray for you and your finances to cover as well as for guidance for our decisions on our scholarship funds.
3. Four weeks before the event, we take all the scholarship requests that we have received and make decisions based on the following criteria:
- Financial Need
- When you applied
- Donated funds given for a specific individual
- If you are new or returning (new attendees will be given preference)
- Total available scholarship funds
4. Between now and then, take the time to raise the funds, either from your own pocket or from help that you may solicit from others (specific donations from others can be sent to us and we will earmark it for you, or they can deal direct with you.)
5. When decisions are made, we will contact you and let you know available funds to cover your fee. You will then have one week to pay the remaining amount of the registration cost. If you are unable to do so, we will offer it to the next man on the “waiting list” and so on, until all the scholarship funds are exhausted.
We know that it may take sacrifice for you to attend an event, but trust us, it will be worth it.
