Sometimes it crowds and crushes the life out of us.

Ironic isn't it? How life can take the life out of us.

Busyness buries us. Cynicism absorbs us.  Or boredom beats us. The next thing we know our hearts are hard, our minds are numb, we find ourselves angry at almost anything that gets in our way and any "faith" we might have had in some higher purpose is reduced into some religious exercise or driven into extinction. And yet, we don't want to live like that.  But most of us spend our days working to drown out that voice of desperation, that voice that in those quiet moments before sunrise or at night staring at the computer screen, aches inside us, yearning for more... something more than what we know.

Is there more to life? Yes.  Is it a fight to find it? To say the least.  Do you have to find this path alone? No!

Long forgotten are the things that make men come alive.  And it's a tragedy, for this is how we, as men, bear the image of a wild and unfettered and free God. In their place we have tried counterfeit after counterfeit, either in religion or our own self efforts to make a life for ourselves.  Yet we still know the unsettledness, the restlessness, and it haunts us when we let it.

There is something fierce, passionate and wild in the heart of every man...placed there by God Himself, because that is part of who He is.   The reason most men live lives of 'quiet desperation" is because men have never really found a life worth living for, something worth being passionate about.  The world around us offers very limited options: sports, sex, career, more money.  Any one who has ever tried to find 'life' through these things can tell you, it ain't there.  And religion has offered very little too.  In fact, listen to what you hear out of most churches.  Most men have been told that the reason God put them on earth is to be a good boy. To be nice. Walk into most churches in America, have a look around, and ask yourself this question: What is a Christian man?  Don't listen to what is said, look at what you find there. There is no doubt about it. You'd have to admit, a Christian man is.... bored, angry, cynical.

There HAS to be a different way...

The Great News is that there IS a different way!  In fact, God's heart for you is a universe away from boring.  His heart for you is exactly what your true heart is desiring. Men are designed to be dangerous...dangerous for good.  We long for adventure.  We want to make sure that our lives count for something.  We want to really live, because He wants that for us too.
